Yanni's prides itself on the freshness of its fare. Diners rave about their fish, which is cooked to order and boasts a firm, flaky texture. The light, crispy batter enhances the experience, making each bite unforgettable. Many simply can't get enough of the chips, which are consistently described as soft and fluffy yet crispy on the outside—every fry lover's dream. The variety on the menu, including curry dishes and vegetarian options, allows for a meal that caters to all tastes. The friendly and prompt service is a highlight as well, ensuring that meals are served timely with a smile. Affordable pricing combined with hearty portions makes Yanni's a standout choice for anyone looking to savor traditional fish and chips in a vibrant setting.

Most Disliked

While customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some diners note that the establishment only accepts cash payments. This might catch visitors off-guard, particularly those intending to pay with cards. The size of Yanni's can also pose a challenge, as its popularity often leads to packed conditions during peak hours. This could mean waiting for a table, which some might find inconvenient. A few guests have also mentioned that meal preparation can take around 10-15 minutes, a slight wait when hunger strikes. These few drawbacks don't overshadow the overall satisfaction that most diners experience at Yanni's, but they are worth noting for prospective guests.

My wife and I visited Yannis for lunch and we were not disappointed. We both opted for the cod and chips each and a large portion of curry between us. The fish were cooked fresh from our order, as was the chips. When we tucked in the fish was absolutely delicious. The flesh was firm and cooked to perfection and the batter was light, crispy and very tasty. The chips were soft and fluffy and crispy too. The curry sauce was both hot, in temperature and spicy in taste, absolutely delicious. The service was prompt with our meals put before us in just over ten minutes by very professional, friendly and friendly staff. If you are feeling peckish in Liverpool city centre, I strongly recommend you eat at Yannis. You will not be disappointed!

Cash only business!! Fish and chips was one of the best I have ever had period. They also need time, 10-15 minutes to make the meal. They also cater to gluten-free dietary needs. Highly recommend that you try them out.

A shop keeper recommended this place. There is a large menu. We wanted fish and chips and they were very good. Well priced but each item is sold individually.

Great place with many options, good fish, friendly service. It can just get packed since it is a very small place. To the many reviews that said cash only payment, I paid with card with no problems at all!

What a wonderful historic fish shop in the heart of Liverpool. It was recommended on several pages to pay a visit to this old restaurant and nothing short of great service, food and an absolute positive experience we had. Food is truly delicious and made from the heart. Staff truly helpful and although inside is quite small and tight, they manage to keep an organized atmosphere. A definite recommendation for anyone wanting to try an affordable, value for money, traditional fish and chips while touring around the beautiful Liverpool city.

This place had the best fish and chips by far during our 3 week UK vacation. It was fresh, crispy, flavourful and plentiful. Their curry sauce was amazing too. Portions were huge! We went there twice during our 5 day stay in Liverpool. This Canadian thanks you. Highly recommend!
